Pralay Gupta

I'm pursuing an M.Sc. in Forensic Science specializing in Cyber Forensics, building on a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Forensic Science and practical work across forensic laboratories, cybercrime policing, and forensic medicine.

At the Cyber Crime Police Station in Jalpaiguri, I supported case-related digital evidence handling and learned cybercrime investigation procedures under the Inspector-in-Charge. At the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory, I gained exposure to Physics-Ballistics, Biology-Serology, and Document examinations.

My undergraduate dissertation examined sex determination from external-earlobe morphology, contributing to forensic anthropology and personal identification methods. This work became a co-authored article in the Indian Journal of Research in Anthropology.

I bring hands-on grounding in crime scene documentation, fingerprints, serology, DNA typing, ballistics, questioned documents, chromatography, spectroscopy, and digital evidence handling. I'm focused on growing into cyber-crime investigation and digital evidence analysis.
