Patrick Mallory
@patrickmallory
Cybersecurity and technology leader delivering large-scale security programs across international missions.
What I'm looking for
I lead enterprise and mission-focused cybersecurity initiatives, aligning technology upgrades and security protocols to real-world threat conditions and penetration testing outcomes. With Top Secret/SCI background and a focus on sensitive communications, I prioritize resilient, interoperable security across complex environments.
As a Diplomatic Technology Officer (GS-14 Director) for the U.S. Department of State, I manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with government and military partners to implement large-scale cybersecurity initiatives worldwide. I spearheaded comprehensive cybersecurity protocols for sensitive communications networks and designed/deployed cutting-edge security solutions for international operations.
Earlier, I led technology programs at scale—overseeing a City-wide PCI Compliance program and managing a multi-year $20M portfolio covering SIEM, anti-virus, and network monitoring. I also restructured enterprise IT policies across Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, Data Management, and Acceptable Use, while partnering with local, state, and federal teams on threat analysis and remediation.
I bring deep security and risk expertise from roles including Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting and Security Team contributions at SmartBug Media, where I co-led the selection and implementation of MDM malware and endpoint management security tools. I’m supported by advanced education in Information Security and Public Policy & Management, and certifications including OSCP, CISM, CISSP, and PMP.
