Nelly Kamencu

I'm completing a Master's in Clinical Psychology at Daystar University while providing supervised psychological services at Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital and Cherish Watoto Learning Center. I conduct clinical interviews, psychological assessments, Mental Status Examinations, individual counselling, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.

I've supported children, adolescents, adults, psychiatric inpatients, oncology patients, and palliative-care patients across hospital and school settings. My practice draws on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, trauma-focused approaches, Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy, with particular interest in child and adolescent mental health, trauma, anxiety, and psychological assessment.
