At Meritek Inc, I monitored and investigated security alerts using Wireshark and SIEM tools, identifying threats such as brute-force attempts and lateral movement.
I assessed DNS and HTTP traffic for suspicious communications and data exfiltration attempts. I also used Nmap to discover assets and validate suspicious IP addresses against Splunk logs.
I supported endpoint protection, vulnerability assessments, and cloud security initiatives, including IAM best practices, MFA, and encryption. I also assisted with incident response and compliance documentation.
On my AWS Cloud Infrastructure Project, I configured EC2 instances, VPC networking, Route 53 DNS, load balancing, and S3 storage. I also worked on Linux server administration and a security monitoring lab.
