Modesta Apah
@modestaapah
Early-career forest technician focused on sustainable harvesting and data-driven ecosystem assessment.
What I'm looking for
I’m a forest technician-in-training with hands-on experience assessing impacts on forest ecosystems, supporting public outreach for sustainable resource use, and translating field data into clear research outputs. During my paid forest technician internship, I conducted forest inventory and data collection with GPS technology and mapping software, and prepared reports summarizing project findings.
I bring strong quantitative and quality-control skills: I used statistical techniques to turn raw data into meaningful information, supported colleagues with data interpretation methods, and trained new personnel on QC procedures, including sampling techniques. Through my research on sustainable harvesting practices of Gnetum (“Eru”) by local harvesters in the Souza area, I aim to identify actionable strategies for improving sustainable resource management.
