What I'm looking for

I’m looking to build and ship production React/React Native products where I can own CI/CD, offline-first data layers, and observability—making smart tooling and infrastructure decisions that improve reliability, speed, and user impact.

I’m a software engineer with 4+ years across web, mobile, and backend—strongest in web and mobile. I architect production React/React Native systems and own the infrastructure that ships them, from CI/CD pipelines and release automation to offline-first data layers.

Recently, at Grade Up (Mobile Engineer, contract, remote), I led a cross-platform EdTech build on React Native + Expo, owning end-to-end architecture, tooling, and third-party decisions. I overhauled CI/CD by migrating off Bitrise to a self-managed Jenkins + DigitalOcean runner setup with a stationed Mac mini for Fastlane-based deployments, eliminating $200+/month in vendor cost while delivering faster builds. I also engineered an offline-first data layer with WatermelonDB + GraphQL sync reconciliation and raised the quality bar with Detox E2E, Jest, and GraphQL Codegen, supported by production observability (Sentry, Amplitude, AppsFlyer).

Across Taxtech and its product suite, I’ve shipped fintech platforms serving 10,000+ users, covering payroll/payslip/pension remittance flows, statutory tax handling, wallet and invoicing, and payment-link and third-party API integrations. Earlier, I built and launched a full food delivery application solo with end-to-end Paystack integration, and I continue to volunteer by maintaining public and admin tooling for Chess in Slums Africa.
