At North Somerset Council, I represent the local authority in complex and sensitive Children Act proceedings.
Before joining North Somerset Council, I was an Associate and Solicitor in the Regulatory team at Hugh James, advising councils across England and Wales on public law childcare matters. My cases included serious neglect, non-accidental injuries, abuse, and deprivation of liberty applications.
At Cardiff Council, I handled care proceedings, adoption matters, pre-proceedings, and section 7 and 37 applications. I qualified as a solicitor in 2020.
I trained at Gartsides Solicitors with a focus on family law, and began my legal career at Hugh James as a Regulatory Paralegal supporting public law care work. I hold an LLB Law degree from the University of Reading and completed the LPC at De Montfort University.
