At Advanced Joint Replacement Institute at Tristar Centennial, I provide operating-room nursing care for total joint replacements, revisions, resections, orthopedic oncology, and sports medicine cases.
I prepare sterile operating rooms, assess patients before surgery, communicate pertinent information to care teams and families, and scrub in as a second assistant when needed.
Previously, I was cross-trained across urology, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, total joints, plastic surgery, oculoplastics, and podiatry at USPI St. Thomas Surgicare. At Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, I supported plastic surgery, urology, and general surgery while completing cross-training across pediatric service lines.
I also cared for LVAD and heart-transplant patients at Ascension St. Thomas West, monitoring post-operative recovery, anti-rejection medications, cardiac drips, lab trends, and changes requiring escalation. I hold a BSN and maintain active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
