I am an enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for scientific research, particularly in the field of chemistry. With seven years of hands-on experience, I have honed my skills in experimental lab work and scientific writing, culminating in two peer-reviewed publications with Elsevier. My academic journey began with a BSc in Chemical Biology, followed by an Hons in Chemistry, and an MSc in Chemistry from Stellenbosch University. Although I withdrew from my PhD, the knowledge I gained has equipped me to tackle significant challenges in catalysis and green chemistry.

My specialization includes organometallic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and heterogeneous catalysis, focusing on the oxidation of bio-renewable substrates. I have actively contributed to the scientific community through various conference presentations and have been a member of prestigious organizations such as the Golden Key Society and the Catalysis Society of South Africa. I believe that my strong foundation in chemistry, combined with my effective communication skills, positions me well to make meaningful contributions to scientific advancements.
