Lucy Tran

I’m a software engineer who enjoys turning complex operations into clear, usable interfaces. In my internship at Hoplon, I built a geofence management dashboard with React, Next.js, and shadcn/ui, while designing workflows for site management, device monitoring, and permissions readiness.

I also refined the product experience by refactoring frontend components, including a responsive Header with a company selector and search. Working on commits taught me to format changes more intentionally and keep my work better documented.

On the engineering side, I integrated with the Convex backend for real-time data and evaluated map APIs including Mapbox, Google Maps, HERE, and Leaflet—so I could make tradeoffs based on product needs. At Teica.AI, I focused on the end-to-end user experience for an AI-powered product search engine, centering the interface around a single search bar and using smart category suggestions to reduce cognitive load.

I’ve also briefly worked with Milvus, Weaviate, OpenAPIs, and vector database applications. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and aim to contribute as a builder who cares deeply about UX, clarity, and reliable implementation.
