I’m a focused, performance-driven Transport Operations and Logistics expert with over 17 years’ experience, combining operations leadership with hands-on fleet and logistics execution. I’ve worked across roles including Head of Operations – Transport Department, Fleet Officer, Logistics Officer, and multiple IT/network-focused positions that sharpen my data-driven approach.

As Head of Operations at Dangote Cement Zambia, I oversee transport strategy, truck scheduling, dispatching, route planning, and cement handling—while ensuring full compliance with safety policies set by RTSA. I monitor and analyze KPIs, manage operational budgets, strengthen emergency protocols, and build high-performance teams through coaching, training, and regular performance evaluations.

My results are measurable: I exceeded budgeted delivery targets from 24,000 metric tons to 29,000 MT (highest company record that year) and improved daily truck availability and utilization from 51% to 85% throughout 2023. I also reduced transport rate by 50% (ZMW 0.50/ton/KM to ZMW 0.27/ton/km) by capturing all truck-related movements and expenses monthly, and reduced route risk of thefts and accidents by 20% through Journey management planning.

I’ve consistently lowered operational disruption—cutting daily highway breakdowns from 20 trucks to only 3 by introducing PTI crew (Pre-trip inspection crew)—and improved workforce wellbeing by introducing the company’s first 24hrs helpdesk. I’ve also led fleet integration of 100 new trucks into an operational fleet of 200, acquired transport logistics competency certificates for the fleet management team, and launched cross-border operations for export of cement and clinker to DRC, Burundi, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
