I’m an HCC Risk Adjustment Coder specializing in Medicare and commercial risk adjustment, ICD-10-CM capture, and diagnosis specificity. I focus on compliant documentation that supports accurate, complete coding and stronger reimbursement outcomes.

In my current role, I review patients’ electronic medical records (EMRs) to abstract complete and compliant diagnosis codes and enhance risk adjustment for Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid programs. I map Hierarchical condition categories across diverse medical records while ensuring adherence to CMS guidelines and protecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA.

Previously, I worked as a Part-time Outpatient Coder, analyzing diagnostic tests, consultations, in-office procedures, and prescribed medications to ensure comprehensive coding. I used ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS to support precise billing practices while meeting quality and productivity standards.

I also gained hands-on experience as a Risk Adjustment Coder at Sharp Incorporated, where I verified diagnosis codes for accuracy, completeness, and highest specificity. I worked across multiple specialties to strengthen coding quality, met production standards, and adapted to changes in coding guidelines and systems.
