What I'm looking for

I’m looking for fully remote roles where I can own end-to-end backend delivery—modernising banking/payment systems, building reliable microservices, and improving uptime through zero-downtime releases, strong asynchronous collaboration, and observability.

I’m a Senior Backend Engineer with seven years of experience modernising business-critical banking and payments infrastructure, with deep, hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot. I focus on microservices, distributed systems, and shipping changes without risking transaction processing.

I’ve migrated live financial systems end-to-end, including moving a bank safe-deposit-box system and delivering zero-downtime platform changes. My work spans ISO 8583 and 3-D Secure 2 migrations, with deep involvement in payment cryptography and HSM key management.

In my current role at syngenio AG, I led the migration of legacy systems from HCL Notes to Java and Spring Boot, including modular Spring Modulith design and API development with REST & SOAP. I model and orchestrate end-to-end business processes as executable Camunda workflows, handling rental contracts, invoicing, and SEPA payments.

Previously at eurodata AG, I owned the migration of Java systems onto Kubernetes, with automated CI/CD pipelines and centralised observability to improve deployment safety and uptime. Earlier, at 3C Payment / Planet, I helped build and operate a card payment forwarding platform and coordinated migrations between Safenet Luna HSM and Thales HSM—transferring and rotating cryptographic keys with zero interruption to payment processing.
