What I'm looking for

I’m looking to own and scale high-throughput backend platforms—designing event-driven microservices, improving latency and performance, and collaborating in Agile teams that value observability, reliability, and clean API contracts.

I’m a senior-leaning backend engineer with around 5 years of experience designing and scaling high-throughput backend systems and APIs. My focus is on building resilient, high-performance platforms using Node.js, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems principles.

At CorPay Inc., I’ve owned backend platform services processing millions of transactions per day, keeping systems highly available with low latency. I designed and developed scalable Node.js/Express APIs for enterprise payment and expense workflows, built event-driven processing with AWS SNS/SQS and Node.js, and defined service boundaries, API contracts, and data flow across microservices for multiple product teams. I’ve also optimized backend performance through caching, query tuning, and async processing—improving response times by 30%+—and I led architecture discussions while mentoring engineers on backend design best practices and Node.js performance optimization.

Previously at Fidelity Investments (contracted via Tia Infotek Inc.), I built scalable backend services using Node.js and .NET Core for high-volume financial applications, delivered reliable RESTful APIs and async workflows across distributed systems, and implemented secure authentication with OAuth2 and Azure AD. I reduced latency by 30% by optimizing queries, applying caching strategies, and improving event-driven processing, working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Earlier at PayPal (MaxoTech Solutions LLC), I worked as a full stack engineer developing backend services for banking and transaction systems with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL, creating APIs for customer account management and transaction processing workflows, and contributing to scalable system design under guidance of senior engineers.
