Served as a liaison to all Hospital departments and staff to ensure quality service to all customers. Assumed responsibility for coordinating activities related to overall Hospital operations in the absence of the Leadership team. Oversaw the throughput of patients and served as a mediator for problems that arose in all areas of hospital operations.

Provided guidance and nurse consultation for the daily operations and long-term planning of the School Based Health Centers (SBHC) program. Developed policies and procedures to support the delivery of high-quality services in SBHCs and conducted quality assurance site visits. Led Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and collaborations across the state SBHC program.

Supported planning, implementing, and promoting evidenced-based information to community providers on available resources for Covid-19 vaccine distribution. Provided structured education and resources to community canvassers and health department community outreach workers. Collected and disseminated data on Covid vaccination and Covid outbreaks throughout the city.

Provided clinical nurse assistance on site to help the State of Maryland reach its vaccine goals. Administered Covid 19 vaccines to both adult and pediatric populations. Assumed any roles as assigned within scope of practice in the vaccine project.

Provided clinical and administrative oversite for a field hospital dedicated to the treatment of patients with Covid 19. Actively participated in the nursing treatment of patients with Covid 19. Oversaw the management of staff during the off shift.

Provided leadership and management for 103 staff members in a fast-paced, high-acuity community Emergency Department, Emergency Psych Center and Level 2 Trauma Center. Enforced organizational and unit-based policies, protocols, and procedures. Operated as a liaison between upper management and clinical staff.

Directed daily operations for a 32 bed Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department. Assured compliance of Joint Commission, Medicare, OSHA and other state/federal regulations. Successfully created and implemented Emergency Department policies and procedures.

Assisted contract healthcare workers during Covid 19 pandemic by providing guidance, resources, and support as a case manager. Arranged for Covid testing across the United States and provided information on Workmen’s Compensation. Set up telehealth for healthcare workers with Covid 19.

Accountable for over 300 employees from 3 Emergency Departments and one Level II Trauma Center as well as 4 grant programs. Provided direct supervision for 4 Nurse managers. Collaborated with leaders from the United States Air Force to create a trauma training program.

Served as an organizational/departmental resource to promote education using evidence-based practice. Coordinated educational programs and in-service training sessions. Developed, implemented, and evaluated standards of nursing practice in the Emergency Department.

Organized advanced medical assessments across the healthcare spectrum to promote positive patient outcomes in a busy urban Emergency Department/Level I Trauma Center. Functioned in the role of Charge Nurse and preceptor for new grad nurses. Performed proficiently within the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Instructed students and facilitated discussions regarding nursing professional practice guidelines. Taught clinical skills and nursing theory/didactic for students in lab, lecture, long-term and acute care settings. Instructed students on the application of classroom theory to patient care in clinical settings.
