What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a safety-focused shop or field role where I can own diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment, support preventative maintenance, and work independently or with a team to keep downtime low.

I’m a heavy equipment mechanic who performs maintenance and repair on backhoes, dozers, rollers, and excavators, with a strong focus on troubleshooting hydraulic systems, engines, and electrical components.

I assist with engine repairs and partial rebuilds, using both manual techniques and diagnostic tools to pinpoint failures and drive effective component replacement. I work confidently in both shop and field environments—responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance while prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime.

As a mobile mechanic with Transwest Mobile, I traveled to designated locations to perform PM service and diagnose and repair issues across electrical and mechanical systems.

Earlier, I worked as a diesel mechanic inspecting and diagnosing excavators and dump trucks for wear, leaks, and needed maintenance; I also handled maintenance tasks like changing oils and filters, adjusting tracks, rebuilding final drive motors, and replacing damaged parts. At W.T. BYLER, I worked on multiple machine types and covered mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including rebuilding hydraulic pumps, replacing radiators/coolers/turbos, and fixing wiring, shorts, and fuses.
