Jonathan Zimunya

I am a dedicated and analytically driven Mathematical Sciences student at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST), building a strong foundation in financial modelling, insurance mathematics, risk analysis, and data-driven decision making.

I am currently seeking an internship opportunity to apply my academic skills in finance, actuarial science, or data analytics, while contributing meaningfully to an organization’s goals and operations. Through my studies, I’ve developed experience with Financial Modelling, Insurance Modelling, Probability and Statistics, Regression Analysis, and Data Science and Machine Learning.

I also bring initiative and practical learning through leadership and digital advocacy. As a UNDP Digital Advocate, I completed 50+ professional development courses covering digital skills, innovation, sustainable development, data analytics, digital banking, Microsoft Power BI, and financial technology.

I enjoy turning evidence into clear insights, and I’m currently developing an undergraduate research project using statistical and data science methods to address a real-world financial or actuarial problem.
