Jack Widener

I am a 2D and stop-motion animator with hands-on experience creating short-form animated bumpers, profile-picture character art, and independent short films. I work across both traditional and digital pipelines, translating concept to final animation with attention to timing and character performance.

My portfolio includes commissioned work such as a bumper for 1 Planet Media and a commissioned profile-picture for YouTuber JCtheCaster, as well as short animations like "Chumba Animated" and several student films. I have contributed linework and stop-motion animation elements to BFA projects and independent shorts.

Technically, I am fluent with Toon Boom Harmony, Storyboard Pro, DragonFrame, Adobe Photoshop, Animate, After Effects, Clip Studio Paint, Autodesk Maya, and Blender. I combine software proficiency with traditional stop-motion practice to produce cohesive pieces suited for web and festival distribution.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Animation (2024) from the Cleveland Institute of Art and seek roles where I can continue refining character animation, collaborate on short-form storytelling, and contribute to creative teams producing engaging visual content.
