During my medical internship at Hawassa university college of medicine and health sciences, I gained experience in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN. I took patient histories, performed physical examinations, assisted in surgical procedures, and diagnosed and managed tuberculosis cases in a cough clinic.
My project on infant and young child feeding practices among mothers visiting Hawassa university comprehensive specialized hospital examined breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices. Its findings highlighted effective practices and areas for improvement to support caregiver education and future maternal and child nutrition programs.
