What I'm looking for

I’m seeking an opportunity where I can continue to positively impact emergency medicine by leading rapid triage, stabilizing critical patients, and improving outcomes through evidence-based care, interdisciplinary teamwork, and continuous quality improvement.

I’m a dedicated ER Nurse with over 15 years of experience, specializing in critical care, emergency response, trauma management, and rapid patient assessment. I focus on swiftly identifying and addressing life-threatening conditions while delivering compassionate, effective care in high-pressure settings.

I’m proficient in triage protocols, crisis management, crisis intervention, and patient education, ensuring comprehensive support across the healthcare continuum. I collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes and streamline emergency decision-making.

Since September 2022, I’ve worked as an Emergency Room Nurse at Aspen Medical at UNSOS Level 1+ Hospital in Mogadishu, where I utilize advanced medical equipment to monitor vital signs, administer medication, and perform emergency procedures. I maintain accurate documentation for quality assurance, assess/triage/stabilize diverse emergencies, and respond effectively using CPR, ACLS, and trauma management—while contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Earlier, I strengthened my emergency and infection-control expertise through international assignments with UNHCR, AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, and MRDC, including COVID-19 surveillance, PCR sample collection, outbreak monitoring, and coordinated patient transfers/medical evacuations. From Jan 2015 to Feb 2021 at The Nairobi Hospital, I spearheaded triage operations, improved patient flow, led shift operations, and advanced patient education; I also supported unit trainings, drills, and continuous quality improvement.
