What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a demanding nursing role where I can contribute disciplined clinical judgement and patient-first care, with quality and safety as non-negotiables.

At Kakamega County General Teaching and Referral Hospital, I provided nursing care across emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, psychiatry, and High Dependency Unit settings. I managed assigned bays of up to 28 patients per shift and triaged more than 200 patients, escalating red-category cases.

During that placement, I assisted in more than 120 emergency and minor surgical procedures and maintained a record of zero reported medication administration errors. I also participated in infection prevention audits and prepared ward statistics and monthly MOH returns.

Across supervised rotations at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral National Hospital and Kakamega County Referral Hospital, I completed more than 3,600 clinical hours. I assisted with 60+ normal vaginal deliveries and supported care for preterm and low-birth-weight newborns, including Kangaroo Mother Care.

Through community outreach with LIONS CLUB (Kakamega Branch) and University Outreach and Exchange Programmes, I screened residents for health conditions, referred high-risk cases, and supported immunisation campaigns. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, and my undergraduate research on barriers to exclusive breastfeeding received a distinction.
