Research assistant at Shiraz University modeling fluid-structure-soil interaction in water storage tanks.

Iran
Message

At Shiraz University, I’ve studied how soil-structure interaction affects water storage tanks during earthquakes and used numerical modeling to examine their dynamic behavior. My research resulted in a 2023 Journal of Earthquake Engineering paper on nonlinear fluid-structure-soil interaction in rectangular water storage tanks.

I’ve also simulated three-dimensional wave transformation using Delft3D and conducted CFD modeling of flow in stepped channels. In a separate Shiraz University research role, I led graduate students in building and characterizing a channel and spillway model, and I’ve taught hydraulic structures and ANSYS FLUENT.
