At the SINKING ZONE on SILCHAR KALAIN ROAD, I observed stabilization techniques and construction methods in landslide-prone and sinking zones. I studied how retaining walls, drainage systems, and soil reinforcement were applied on-site.
I also gained insight into field challenges and safety protocols managed by senior site engineers during this academic internship.
In an academic project, I studied a sustainable bamboo rain shelter with coconut fiber reinforced compressed stabilized earth brick walls. The experimental study confirmed that appropriate stabilization and controlled fiber addition can enhance earth-brick properties.
For another project, I worked on the design and analysis of a fink truss using spreadsheets and STAAD Pro. Its objective was to develop a simple, efficient, automated tool in Microsoft Excel for roof-truss design and analysis.
