Delene Becker

At Sol Plaatje Municipality, I lead public health programmes across multiple service areas, coordinating government departments, healthcare professionals, municipal teams, educational institutions and community stakeholders.

I led the planning, development and implementation of a Microsoft Power Apps Environmental Health Management System, digitising operational processes and improving information management. I gathered user requirements, mapped workflows, coordinated technical consultants, conducted user acceptance testing and supported continuous improvement after deployment.

I deliver technical training, health education and capacity-building for healthcare professionals, municipal staff, students and community groups. I also lecture at Henrietta Stockdale Nursing College and support users in applying public health procedures and systems.

With a Master of Public Health and more than seven years of programme implementation experience, I use data collection, surveillance, reporting and quality checks to strengthen programme delivery. My research has included PM₂.₅ air pollution, environmental data analysis, source apportionment and public health.
