At Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, I designed a photodiode smoke detector using an IR LED, photodiode, LM358 amplifier, comparator, and relay stage to trigger a buzzer and exhaust fan.
I also used CAD and engineering design software to model mechanisms including a disc cam, Geneva mechanism, Scotch yoke, and crank-slider. My coursework and projects have given me experience with C programming, analogue electronics, and engineering design.
Through independent projects, I've practiced building web pages with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and used Python to strengthen my programming logic and computational thinking. I also completed the Phoenix Analytics Africa ML masterclass.
