Christopher Curtsinger

I’m a trade professional with 14+ years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance and automation within a manufacturing environment. I advance from controls work into leadership and engineering roles by focusing on equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting large-scale production initiatives.

As a Control Engineer I at Yokohama Industries Americas (2023–2026), I designed and maintained control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes. I troubleshoot complex automation issues to improve efficiency, collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance system performance, and support multi-site operations with remote and on-site assistance (Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina).

I also build quality and safety into systems. I develop poka-yoke systems using vision technology, lead commissioning and startup of new equipment for product launches, and upgrade legacy equipment with modern safety control systems—while using Ignition SCADA for monitoring and integration. I’ve supported Fanuc and KUKA robotic systems through troubleshooting, positioning, and minor repairs.

Earlier roles (Controls Technician, Maintenance Lead, and Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician) strengthened my end-to-end problem solving—from programming PLCs/HMIs and diagnosing electrical/control failures to mentoring teams and prioritizing maintenance execution. I bring strong skills in root cause analysis, preventive/predictive maintenance, and training maintenance personnel so production runs smoother and teams move faster.
