Responsible for the OEE for highest priority lines and business unit producing largest percentage of combined factory volume. Proactively owned apprentice development, feedback, monitoring, and training. Led technicians and ensured follow-up work was complete, driving defect list action completion within the business unit.

Part of a project engineering team bringing new lines to site as part of major internal investment, including setting up maintenance, vendor acceptance testing, and design reviews. Provided assistance with specification, testing, qualification, and operation of new capital process equipment, ensuring timely use and efficient performance.

Responsible for training and development of a maintenance team of up to 7 people, implementing Nissan maintenance controls and ensuring reporting system was followed. Accountable for shift performance targeting 85% OEE in area, reporting figures daily and setting direction in morning meetings.

Worked on continuous improvement projects to reduce stops per shift and UPDT, as well as simplifying processes for operators. Trained in Omron PLC Operations and Fault Finding, and worked with Yamaha, Mitsubishi, and Fanuc Robots.

Overall responsibility on shift for a £12 million production line for safety, quality, and unplanned downtime due to equipment. Responsible for creating maintenance procedures as well as executing all planned and scheduled maintenance. Key user of multiple ABB 4 and 6 axis robots and SAP maintenance software.

Awarded Company CEO’s Award for going above and beyond expected performance. Responsible for planning and executing all improvement work to improve key measures such as safety, quality, unplanned downtime, and waste, while managing a maintenance budget of £4kpm. Coached the line team (18 people) to execute maintenance tasks independently, setting up a training matrix to track competency.

Reduced stops per shift from 11 to less than 2 and UPDT from 4.1% to less than 1% through robotic process optimization. Managed the start-up and validation of new capital robotic equipment on a new production line, and trained over 20 team members on new robotic technology.

Maintained and improved all equipment requiring understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and a good understanding of PLCs. Introduced LOTO to Parker DH and improved existing maintenance - task specific PPE. Accountable for the entire maintenance budgets, project budget, and reducing costs.

Worked in a strict clean room environment to ensure quality standards were met. Maintained upkeep of furnace machines, each costing in excess of $1 million. Monitored and worked with volatile chemicals and gases, adhering to LOTO safety policy.

Achieved a 2:1 in Management of Advanced Engineering Technology. Also completed a Foundation Degree in Multi Skilled Engineering.

Attended Monkseaton High School. Developed key skills in Maths, ICT, and Communication.
