At Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, I designed and built a LoRa-based mesh communication network for areas with limited cellular and internet infrastructure. The system uses ESP32 nodes and a custom routing protocol to forward messages beyond a single radio’s range.

I developed the embedded firmware in C/C++ and created a companion BLE smartphone app for sending and receiving messages through nearby nodes. My work spanned the radio hardware, routing, firmware, and mobile interface.

For an academic project with NexaFinance Kenya, I conducted an authorized penetration test against an isolated lab target simulating a financial-services breach. I analyzed activity with Splunk and documented remediation steps in a technical report.

In attachments at Jkuat Enterprises Limited and Nairobi City County, I assembled tablet hardware and installed software, and supported street-lighting repairs and installations. I’m interested in how secure, reliable technology supports African trade and financial services, and I’m keen to learn trade finance while contributing technical and analytical skills.
