At Kingdom Bank, I lead backend modernization for KopaSmart, migrating its API to ASP.NET Core 8 and PostgreSQL while integrating M-Pesa Daraja, TransUnion, and identity-verification services for lending workflows.
I build regulated financial systems used by more than 100,000 users, including the CBK RT2 FX Reporting Portal and KB CHAMA, a group savings and lending platform. I also shipped a computer-vision pipeline using PaddleOCR, Tesseract, and OpenCV to extract Kenyan national ID fields for automated KYC.
