What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can apply NLP and Generative AI to multilingual, low-resource data—owning the pipeline from data collection and curation to evaluation and impact-focused reporting, with room to grow in predictive modeling and ML engineering.

I’m an AI Researcher and NLP Specialist transitioning from long-standing work as a Statistician and Data Analyst, with a strong foundation in official government statistics, revenue analytics, and field research. I bring end-to-end data discipline—from survey and instrument design to statistical modeling and stakeholder-ready visualization.

In Kenya’s public sector, I helped deliver evidence for decision-making through large-scale, multilingual data collection and rigorous analysis. As a Research Assistant on a Gender Based Violence taskforce, I designed and administered surveys and interviews, performed statistical analysis to uncover patterns, and authored research reports and presentations for the Technical Working Group. As a Statistician for the County Government of West Pokot, I managed revenue data across sub-counties, built automated reporting and Power BI dashboards, and supported revenue forecasting to identify leakages and improve performance.

I’m currently deepening my expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning through ALX Africa and DeepLearning.AI certifications, focusing on predictive modeling, Generative AI, and NLP. My professional ethos is precision and accountability—especially when working with multilingual and low-resource language challenges, dataset bias, and reliable evaluation benchmarks.
