@boemoramonoko
Soil and Water Conservation Engineer at BUAN, mapping water resources and conservation practices in Mokolodi Nature Reserve.
What I'm looking for
At Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, I applied QGIS and remote sensing to investigate water resources and potential conservation practices in Mokolodi Nature Reserve.
For my final-year research project, I processed satellite imagery and terrain data to assess vegetation health, drainage patterns, soil erosion risks, and water availability. I also developed thematic maps to support land management and conservation planning.
During field practical training with the Ministry of Agriculture, I participated in field surveys and land capability assessments for agricultural development and soil conservation programs.
I also assisted technical and engineering teams in evaluating erosion control measures and catchment designs, and took part in soil sampling, field data collection, and farmer advisory services. I’m seeking to contribute my engineering and geospatial skills to water resource management and environmental conservation.
