For my project on synthesis and characterization of benzalaacetone and its derivatives, I synthesized benzaldacetone and selected derivatives using base-catalyzed aldol condensation. I monitored reaction progress and assessed purity using TLC and melting point analysis, then documented observations and experimental results.
