What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a remote role where I can apply data analysis and machine learning to real-world problems. I'm especially interested in working with structured data, building insightful visualizations, and growing into more advanced data science roles in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

I’m in the final stages of completing my Master’s degree in Data Science at the University of Catania, with graduation expected this September. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, which gives me a strong foundation in both data and development.

Through academic projects and internships, I’ve gained hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and machine learning using tools like Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI. My recent internship at Aitho involved replicating a large-scale Transformer pretraining project (TinyZero), which I ran across local and cloud GPU environments, solving practical resource and compatibility challenges.

In addition, I’ve worked on real-world healthcare and crime datasets, applying statistical techniques like PCA, clustering, and regression to uncover insights. My background in web development and ETL (using Vue.js, Laravel, Microsoft Azure, and SAP Crystal Reports) allows me to tackle problems from multiple angles.

I’m now looking for remote opportunities where I can contribute to meaningful projects, continue learning, and grow into a professional data-driven role. I’m highly motivated, comfortable working independently or in distributed teams, and ready to begin my professional journey this fall.
