Alix Christman
@alixchristman
Logistics and logistics-operations leader who delivers accurate resources under pressure.
What I'm looking for
I’ve built my career in supply and logistics operations, first in the Marine Corps and currently as an Assistant Fire Engine Operator / Logistics Chief with the UnitedStatesForestService. I’m known for staying calm under pressure while coordinating mission-critical logistics in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.
In my current role, I lead daily and emergency logistics operations for wildland fire incidents, coordinating across local, state, and federal agencies to resolve urgent supply needs under tight timeframes. I order, track, and manage essential resources (medical gear, communication tools, fuel, meals, housing) for crews ranging from 20 to over 600—keeping delivery and inventory accuracy on target.
I rely on spreadsheet-based systems to maintain detailed inventory records and operational logs, supporting trend analysis and audit compliance. When incident conditions shift, I dynamically assess and reprioritize needs by balancing urgency, crew safety, and resource availability, while collaborating with interagency partners and vendors to minimize disruption.
I also strengthen teams through training and mentoring, teaching order workflows, emergency protocols, and resource tracking systems to reinforce a culture of safety, accountability, and shared success. Earlier in my career, I processed high-priority orders using supply chain systems and spreadsheet-based tools, and I conducted root cause analysis that improved stock accuracy and reduced excess.
