Alex De Boer

As a lifelong farmer on my family’s dairy farm, I have developed a strong work ethic and a diverse skill set that includes mechanics, welding, fabrication, and machinery operation. My journey began in childhood, where I eagerly took on responsibilities and learned valuable trades. Over the years, I have honed my abilities, working with various people and overcoming challenges to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

My experience encompasses equipment operation and maintenance, where I have mastered driving and servicing a wide range of machinery, including tractors, loaders, and excavators. I take pride in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs both in the field and in the shop. Additionally, I have a solid background in construction, having worked with multiple crews to build and pour concrete foundations, frame structures, and complete roofing projects. My welding and fabrication skills have been developed since 2018, allowing me to create and repair various items, from gates to equipment body work.

Education has also played a significant role in my development, as I graduated from Vancouver College with academic honors and pursued an Associate Diploma in Agricultural at the University of Guelph. I have completed specialized training in Occupational First Aid and Transportation Endorsement, further enhancing my qualifications in the agricultural field. I am well-versed in using agricultural GPS systems, particularly John Deere's technology, which I have utilized for several planting and harvesting seasons.
