Akash Mishra

I've conducted 1.5 years of research at IISER Thiruvananthapuram, studying Drosophila circadian locomotor activity-rest rhythms. My work contributed to a publication in GENETICS on microRNA-275.

I also taught biology and cleared laboratory doubts for MSc students as an assistant lab teacher at IISER TVM for one semester.

My laboratory work includes Drosophila and mice handling, qPCR, RT-PCR, RNA isolation, electrophoresis, western blotting, microscopy, and cell-image analysis.

With an MSc in Zoology from Banaras Hindu University, I'm motivated by making complex biology concepts easier for students to understand.
