At BDO South Africa, I completed my SAICA articles and gained experience in financial reporting, analysis, and risk assessment across multinational subsidiaries and owner-managed businesses.

I led audit engagements as Auditor-in-Charge, managed teams, and engaged with senior stakeholders to deliver audit work under tight deadlines. I also reviewed junior team members’ work and provided coaching and technical guidance.

My work included analyzing financial statements, investigating variances, assessing profitability, and evaluating accounting estimates. I identified control gaps and operational inefficiencies, and provided practical recommendations.

I developed technical knowledge of IFRS, taxation, internal controls, and the Companies Act, with exposure to industries including manufacturing, packaging, merchandising, and farming. I passed the SAICA IAC and APC on my first attempts and am eligible to register as CA(SA).
