Adeisa Mofeoluwa
@adeisamofeoluwa
I research Lagos markets, urban economic development, and informal trade transformation.
What I'm looking for
I'm completing a BA (Hons) in History and International Studies at the University of Ilorin, where I researched Tejuosho Market's contribution to Lagos State's economic development from 2007 to 2024.
My work examines the market's transition after the 2007 fire, connecting redevelopment, trader livelihoods, employment, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, and government revenue. I use historical research methods, including oral interviews, archival records, government reports, market management records, photographs, newspapers, and scholarly literature.
I'm interested in how urban markets support formal and informal trade, shape value chains, and influence inclusive economic development in rapidly growing cities.
