I conduct in-process inspections, line audits, first-piece and last-piece approvals, and gauge verification to ensure CNC operators follow established control plans. I respond to process drift, tool breaks, and operator alerts by analyzing defects such as chatter, burrs, tool wear, and fixture misalignment.
I contain non-conforming material through red-bin management, quality gates, and hold tags, while supporting 8D investigations with floor data, scrap counts, and samples. I also document scrap trends and Pareto charts, coach operators on measurement and Poka-Yoke verification, and provide clear shift handovers on active quality risks.
