Aarju Basnet

I’m a final-year B.Sc. CSIT student who builds and deploys production-grade backend systems. I focus on scalable RESTful APIs that real users can interact with, and I enjoy taking projects from architecture through deployment.

I’ve designed secure backend services using Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, JWT authentication, and role-based protected routes. I also integrate real-time features with Socket.io/WebSockets to keep experiences responsive and reliable.

In my projects, I integrated LLM capabilities via the OpenRouter API, using a unified backend interface to enable model switching without client-side changes. I’ve also engineered MongoDB schemas for multi-turn conversation history and caching to reduce redundant API calls, then deployed containerised applications on AWS EC2 and Render.

I’ve built a real-time location sharing system with room-based Socket.io architecture and interactive maps using Leaflet.js and the Geolocation API. I’m now seeking an internship or junior backend role where I can contribute to scalable, cloud-based systems while continuing to grow as an engineer.
