In my Finance Executive role at a hospitality and banquet business, I managed day-to-day finance and accounting operations across six banquet facilities. I prepared monthly and annual MIS reports on sales, expenses, and business performance for management review.
I prepared and reviewed Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Trial Balances, and used Excel reports to compare performance and identify significant expense changes. I investigated cost movements to find potential wastage and cost-control opportunities.
I also managed Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, bookkeeping, and reconciliations. I supervised one data-entry employee and reviewed the accuracy and timeliness of financial data entry.
At Cargill Business Services, I supported accounting across several business units and worked with commodity transactions. I handled contract and trade records, invoice processing, reconciliations, and cash settlements, and supported month-end reporting and financial close activities.
