Role Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager to join the creative team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of visual merchandising strategies that effectively showcase products and tell the brand story
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and store operations, to ensure cohesive visual representation
- Conduct regular store visits to assess and optimize visual merchandising displays, providing actionable feedback and recommendations
- Support the planning and execution of seasonal merchandising initiatives, including the setup and breakdown of promotional displays
- Maintain awareness of current market trends and competitive landscape to inform visual merchandising decisions
- Train and guide store staff on visual merchandising standards and best practices to ensure consistency across locations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, design aesthetics, and consumer behavior
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and a portfolio showcasing previous visual merchandising work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably in a fashion or lifestyle brand
- Knowledge of photography and video production for digital marketing initiatives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Familiarity with retail management systems and inventory tracking software
- Experience with digital merchandising tools and e-commerce platforms
