Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Traffic Safety Administrator to join our team in promoting safer roadways and enhancing community awareness. In this role, you will assist in the management and analysis of traffic safety data, contributing to the development of initiatives that aim to reduce accidents and improve overall traffic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Support the collection and analysis of traffic safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist in the development of safety programs and public awareness campaigns
- Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to promote traffic safety initiatives
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Participate in community outreach and educational activities to raise awareness about traffic safety
- Assist in maintaining an organized database of traffic incidents and safety projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Safety, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with traffic safety regulations and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or work experience in traffic safety, urban planning, or public administration
- Knowledge of GIS software and data visualization tools
- Experience in community engagement or public relations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding of traffic safety analysis methodologies
- Familiarity with data management systems and reporting tools
- Basic knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar)
