Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Stockroom Manager to oversee the daily operations of our stockroom and ensure the efficient management of inventory. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, implementing best practices for inventory control, and leading a team to uphold our commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage stockroom operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching inventory in accordance with company policies
- Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies
- Implement and enforce safety and cleanliness standards in the stockroom environment
- Train and mentor stockroom staff on procedures and best practices for inventory management
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow and reduce excess stock
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels and generate reports for senior management
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management or stockroom operations
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in inventory tracking and reporting
Preferred:
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP software)
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for stockroom operations
- Certifications in inventory management or logistics (e.g., APICS, CLTD) are a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
- Experience with inventory management software and barcode scanning technology
- Ability to leverage data analytics tools to identify trends and make informed decisions
