Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Foreman to lead our remote team in delivering exceptional sheet metal fabrication and installation projects. This role is crucial in overseeing the production processes, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency within the team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the sheet metal fabrication team, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality specifications.
- Manage workflow by scheduling tasks and allocating resources effectively to meet project demands.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and best practices in sheet metal work.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet client specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time sheets, material usage, and project progress reports.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- In-depth knowledge of sheet metal processes, tools, and techniques, including HVAC and architectural sheet metal work.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations relevant to sheet metal work.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Preferred:
- Experience with CAD software for sheet metal design and fabrication.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in using sheet metal fabrication tools such as brake presses, shears, and CNC machinery.
- Experience with quality control processes to ensure product integrity and compliance.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software for project management and communication.
