Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Roofing Crew Supervisor to lead our dedicated team in delivering high-quality roofing solutions. In this role, you will oversee the execution of roofing projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, project specifications, and timelines while fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of roofing crews, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resource allocation
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce compliance with safety regulations and best practices on job sites
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and deliverables
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and address any deficiencies
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members, promoting skills development and career growth
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours for reporting and budgeting purposes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in the roofing industry, with a track record of successful project management
- Proven experience in supervising teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
Preferred:
- OSHA 30-hour safety certification
- Experience with commercial roofing projects
- Proficient in project management software and tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Knowledge of roofing technologies and best practices, including flat, sloped, and metal roofing systems
- Familiarity with construction management software and reporting tools
- Understanding of building codes and regulatory requirements related to roofing
