Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our supply chain. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will play a critical role in supporting our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory costs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Analyze inventory trends and data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Utilize inventory management software to update records and generate reports for stakeholders.
- Implement best practices for inventory control and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques and methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in inventory management software and tools.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with barcode and RFID technology.
