Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Research Dietitian to lead innovative research initiatives aimed at advancing dietary practices and nutritional science. In this strategic role, you will leverage your expertise to design, implement, and analyze cutting-edge research projects that shape the future of dietary guidelines and public health nutrition.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive research studies focused on dietary interventions, nutrition assessment, and food behavior analysis.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, clinicians, and public health experts, to identify research opportunities and establish impactful study designs.
- Analyze complex datasets using advanced statistical methods and interpret findings to inform evidence-based dietary recommendations.
- Prepare and present research findings to stakeholders, including academic audiences and policy makers, ensuring scientific rigor and relevance.
- Mentor and support junior dietitians and research staff in best practices for research methodologies and data analysis.
- Contribute to grant writing and funding proposals to secure resources for ongoing and future research endeavors.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree or higher in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical or research dietetics, with a strong track record of published research.
- Demonstrated expertise in research methodologies, statistical analysis, and nutrition assessment techniques.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
Preferred:
- Experience with interdisciplinary research collaborations and public health initiatives.
- PhD in Nutrition or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in software tools such as R, SAS, or SPSS for data analysis.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Strong understanding of dietary assessment methods and nutrition intervention strategies.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
- Familiarity with clinical trial design and implementation.
