Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Pilot to lead our flight operations at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Lead and manage the flight operations team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of pilots
- Oversee flight scheduling, crew management, and operational efficiency to optimize performance
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maintain the highest safety standards across all flight operations
- Conduct regular safety audits and participate in safety management system initiatives
- Act as the primary liaison between flight crews and management, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance pilot skills and ensure continuous professional development
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pilot with a regional airline, including experience in a leadership role
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate type ratings
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex operations
Preferred:
- Experience with crew resource management (CRM) principles and implementation
- Background in training and development of flight crews
- Previous experience in a Chief Pilot or similar leadership role
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
