Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Race and Sports Book Supervisor to lead and optimize our race and sports betting operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the book, ensuring exceptional customer service, compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a dynamic team environment. Your strategic oversight will drive operational excellence and help enhance the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the race and sports book, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to company policies
- Lead and mentor a team of staff, conducting regular training sessions to enhance customer service skills and operational knowledge
- Monitor betting activity and ensure compliance with all applicable gaming regulations and company policies
- Analyze betting trends and operational metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and revenue growth
- Collaborate with management to develop promotional strategies and initiatives that enhance customer engagement
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all patrons
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in the sports betting industry, with a focus on operations or supervisory roles
- Strong knowledge of race and sports betting regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
- Experience working with sports betting software and technology systems
- Background in data analysis or revenue management
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
